The results are in for Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2026, and Singapore has secured six spots on the prestigious list. While the island's fine-dining heavyweights continue to hold strong, there are some surprising shifts in the rankings that have the local food scene buzzing with conversation.
The Full Singapore Lineup
Here are the six Singapore restaurants that made the cut this year: Odette at number 19, Seroja at number 20, Restaurant Born at number 23, Les Amis at number 38, Labyrinth at number 40, and Naeum at number 45. It is a solid showing, though notably different from last year's results.
The biggest talking point is Odette's slide from number 7 in 2025 to number 19 this year. The French fine-dining institution at the National Gallery Singapore recently underwent a major revamp, introducing a refreshed interior and a new menu that incorporates more Southeast Asian and broader Asian influences. Despite the dip in ranking, Odette remains the highest-placed Singapore restaurant on the list, and its Taiwanese head sommelier Leslie Liu took home the Asia's Best Sommelier Award, a notable consolation.
Seroja and Restaurant Born Surge Upward
The real success stories belong to Seroja and Restaurant Born. Seroja, the modern Malay restaurant helmed by Chef Mel Dean, rocketed 20 places from its number 40 position in 2025 to land at number 20. This represents its highest-ever ranking since entering the list in 2024, and speaks to the growing international recognition of modern Malaysian and Malay cuisine on the global stage.
Restaurant Born, Chef Zor Tan's contemporary Singaporean restaurant, is equally impressive. It jumped from number 54 on the extended list in 2025 to a firm number 23 this year, cracking the top 25 for the first time. The restaurant's innovative approach to Southeast Asian heritage cuisine is clearly resonating with the international judges.
Les Amis and Labyrinth Hold Steady
Les Amis, Singapore's longstanding French fine-dining stalwart, slipped from number 28 to number 38. Meanwhile, Labyrinth, Chef Han Li Guang's proudly Singaporean tasting menu restaurant, enters the top 50 at number 40. Naeum, the modern Korean restaurant by Chef Louis Han, rounds out the Singapore contingent at number 45.
What the Rankings Reveal
Industry watchers are reading the results as a reflection of broader shifts in the Asian dining landscape. The rankings suggest a growing appetite for restaurants that draw deeply from local and regional culinary traditions, rather than those built purely on European fine-dining frameworks. Seroja's rise and Restaurant Born's leap both underscore this trend.
It is also worth noting the increasing competition from other Asian cities. Bangkok and Tokyo continue to dominate the upper reaches of the list, while emerging food cities like Seoul and Kuala Lumpur are placing more restaurants than ever before.
Black Pearl Recognition Too
The Asia's 50 Best results come on the heels of the 2026 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide, often called China's answer to the Michelin Guide, which recognised 18 Singapore restaurants this year. Les Amis and Odette both earned the top Three Diamond distinction, while Jaan by Kirk Westaway received Two Diamonds.
For Singapore food lovers, the message is clear: the city's dining scene is as vibrant and competitive as ever. Whether you prefer French finesse, modern Malay, or cutting-edge Singaporean cuisine, there is no shortage of world-class options right here on the island.
