Daily Fusion's Pink Pizza Goes Viral β 50% Off Opening Sees 800+ Covers in Two Days
Daily Fusion's Bandung-inspired pink pizza drove 800+ covers in two days and 1.2 million TikTok views. Is this Singapore's next big food trend?
Daily Fusion opened in Tanjong Pagar last Wednesday with a 50% discount that crashed their reservation system within three hours. The restaurant served over 800 covers in its first two days, driven largely by social media frenzy around their signature creation: a pink pizza made with red dragonfruit dough, topped with imported Italian ham and rosebuds.
The Bandung Pizza: Singapore's Newest Food Trend
The Artisanal Pink Pizza ($28, normally $56) draws inspiration from bandung, the rose syrup and milk drink ubiquitous in Singapore's hawker centres. Chef Marcus Lee developed the recipe over six months, testing 47 dough formulations before settling on the final product. The dragonfruit base creates the distinctive pink colour without artificial dyes, while the rosebud garnish adds floral notes that balance the salty Parma ham.
Instagram posts tagged #PinkPizzaSG exceeded 2,400 in the first 48 hours. TikTok videos of the pizza being pulled from the wood-fired oven accumulated 1.2 million views by Friday night.

The Opening Discount Strategy
The aggressive pricing drew criticism from some F&B operators who called it unsustainable. Daily Fusion's management disagrees. The 50% discount (March 26-27) drops to 40% (March 28-29), then settles at standard pricing from March 30. By then, they've generated enough user-generated content to sustain organic demand.
"We spent $50,000 on influencer marketing last year at our previous concept," says co-founder Jennifer Ng. "This opening cost us maybe $30,000 in discounted margins but generated ten times the reach."
- Opening 48-Hour Covers: 812 diners served
- Average Check: $67 per person (at 50% discount)
- Pink Pizza Orders: 623 in first two days
- Instagram Posts: 2,400+ using #PinkPizzaSG
- TikTok Views: 1.2 million across tagged videos
Beyond the Gimmick
The broader menu spans Asian-Italian fusion: miso carbonara ($24), laksa arancini ($18), and char siu duck breast ($38). Early reviews suggest the kitchen executes well beyond the headline item. The space seats 72 across two floors, with a rooftop bar opening in April.
Whether the Pink Pizza sustains or fades depends on repeat visits. The opening frenzy has subsided, but waitlists for dinner still run 5-7 days. That's the window Daily Fusion needs to prove the food matches the hype.
