Orchard Road has seen plenty of retail reinvention over the past few years, but the latest transformation worth your attention is closer to home than you might expect. Paragon's Level 4 has undergone a full renovation and reopened with a curated mix of lifestyle boutiques, wellness studios, and a new dining terrace that makes it the most thoughtfully designed floor on Singapore's most famous shopping strip.
The reimagined level spans roughly 18,000 square feet and was designed by local architecture firm FARM to feel less like a conventional mall floor and more like a series of interconnected neighbourhood spaces. Wide corridors open into alcoves, the lighting is warm and diffused rather than clinical, and plants — real ones, not artificial — are integrated throughout the retail layout.
Anchor tenants include Danish homewares brand HAY, which has opened its largest Southeast Asia flagship here with a full room-setting layout that lets you experience the furniture and accessories in context rather than simply displayed on shelves. Beside it, Japanese fragrance house Kurkdjian (operating under its Maison Francis Kurkdjian label) has taken a corner unit fitted with custom cedar display units and private consultation booths for bespoke fragrance blending.
For wellness, the floor houses a new outpost of Reform Athletica, one of Singapore's better-known Pilates and barre studios, alongside an independent apothecary called Botakin that stocks pharmacy-grade skincare, herbal supplements, and compounding services. The combination makes this the closest thing Orchard Road has to a genuine wellness destination.
The dining terrace at the far end of the floor is a six-seat open kitchen concept run by ex-Burnt Ends chef Marcus Leow, serving a short daily-changing lunch menu of around five dishes. It is reservation-only on weekends but walk-ins are welcome on weekday afternoons. The terrace also overlooks a narrow green corridor that runs along the exterior of the building — a rare outdoor moment in an otherwise indoor strip.
The renovation is part of SPH REIT's broader strategy to reposition Paragon as a lifestyle destination rather than a pure luxury retail play, and Level 4 makes the strongest case yet that the approach is working.
