Osteria Mozza, chef Nancy Silverton's Italian restaurant and one of Singapore's longest-running celebrity chef outposts, has swapped its longtime home at Hilton Singapore Orchard for a brand-new space on the third floor of ION Orchard.

The restaurant quietly reopened on 7 September after closing its Hilton location at the end of July, moving into a 106-seat space at 2 Orchard Turn (#03-14B/15B) done up in warm timber, dark wood and leather. It's open daily from 11.30am to 10pm.

Local chef Ammie Khoo now heads the kitchen, and the move has brought a few menu changes with it. Because the ION Orchard unit can't accommodate a wood-fired oven, Osteria Mozza's signature wood-fired pizzas have been swapped for Roman-style pizza alla pala, thin paddle-shaped pies including a margherita ($28), a BLT ($32) and a fennel sausage ($32). A new lunch-only menu of housemade piadina sandwiches has also joined the lineup, from $24 to $38, including a chicken parmigiana version at $29.

The rest of the menu carries over familiar ground: antipasti, salads, pasta and mains, plus desserts like Madagascan vanilla soft serve and a $16 black truffle sundae. Mains now include a Westholme skirt steak at $38.

Osteria Mozza has been part of Singapore's dining scene since 2010, its only outpost outside the US, and previously operated at Marina Bay Sands as Pizzeria Mozza before settling at the Hilton. Its old Hilton space isn't sitting empty for long: Silverton's other LA import, Chi Spacca, is set to take over there for a one-year residency starting late October.

Osteria Mozza is at 2 Orchard Turn, ION Orchard, #03-14B/15B, Singapore 238801, open daily from 11.30am to 10pm.
