JetQuay is out. Plaza Premium is in. And if the concept renders are anything to go by, Changi's next private terminal is going to be something else entirely.
Changi Airport Group has confirmed that the former CIP Terminal — long operated by JetQuay and favoured by the kind of traveller who considers a commercial departure hall an inconvenience — will reopen in mid-2027 as a fully reimagined private terminal run by Plaza Premium Group. The facility sits at the southern node of Terminal 2, with its own dedicated driveway, private carpark, and seamless boarding gate transfers.
Plaza Premium, which operates premium lounge and hospitality facilities in over 70 airports worldwide, brings a more globally consistent playbook: bespoke dining, private suites, and concierge services designed to feel less like an airport and more like a very well-funded members' club with runways outside.

The terminal is also part of a larger Hub & Spoke district that Changi is building out around it — a lifestyle zone that will include new dining, wellness facilities, and pet-friendly spaces. The anchor: Changi's first covered amphitheatre and an open-air plaza for events. It's the airport's latest attempt to blur the line between transit hub and destination, and given what they've managed to pull off with Jewel, no one's betting against them.
For frequent flyers who relied on JetQuay's discreet, personalised service over the years, the transition will prompt questions about continuity. Plaza Premium's brand is more standardised by design — the same quality bar whether you're departing Changi or Heathrow. Whether that suits Singapore's particular flavour of high-net-worth discretion remains to be seen.
What's not in question is the ambition. Changi's private terminal has always been the quiet option for those who know. By mid-2027, it's going to be considerably less quiet — and considerably more polished.
